Ice Cream Please

July 16, 2012

I have been craving treats big time lately – so I let my sweet tooth inspire me for this week’s OhHappyDay post. Why not celebrate summer with an ice cream social – beat the heat with colorful toppings and an outfit to match** One thing that has been tough about living in California is that they don’t have BLUE BELL ICE CREAM – insanity!! I haven’t found anything that I like as much so my ice cream consumption has decreased significantly, haha. What brand do you guys get at the grocery store??

wow, now I’m really craving some ice cream. I always get my favorite at the grocery store, the caramel Häagen-Dazs.
These photos are so gorgeous it makes me what to eat then firstly, and draw them secondly.

I love, love, love ice cream! Definitely my favorite treat, by far! So many yummy flavors…AHH. I’ve never heard of Blue Bell ice cream, unfortunately, but if I’m ever in Texas, I will be sure to try it! :)

I’ve been making my own — you need to come over & I’ll make you some! But you also need to go to scoops on hyperion (?) near the LA Community college just off of melrose. And you have to get brown bread. Sounds gross but I promise that you will Loooove it.

My husband is a huge blue bell fan as well! We recently moved to san diego and he was hoping it might be here… I guess a friend of his loved it so much he would have it shipped! It’s a thought. :-)

Also, when we moved to texas I couldn’t get community coffee from Louisiana. Do you have an albertson gorcery store? If they don’t carry it, they order if for you and call you when it comes in. They supplied my in coffee the first couple years I lived in Texas. NOw everyone carries it.

i’m a big ice cream fan too, especially on a hot day.
I’m from vermont, so I am a bit partial to ben & jerry’s but it can get pricey. My favorite brand is Turkey Hill, but my local grocery store stopped carrying it. I’m still working on finding a new favorite ice cream.
